Second Half:
To Be Announced
Ice Show Tickets: Ice show tickets will be on sale at each ice show practice while supplies last. Tickets are required for anyone age 3 and over attending the show. Tickets are not required for any child performing in our show or for our show supervisors and volunteers during the show they are working.
Cast Party Tickets: The cast party, which follows the Sunday performance, will be held at the Francis Wyman Elementary school. The cast party is a great event where our performers receive their award packets – ribbons, t-shirts, and program books. There are also prizes and dancing to the music of DJ Rich Murray, our show’s master of ceremonies! Tickets are free for cast members. Guest tickets will be available at all ice show practices. There are no chaperones provided at this party. Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian present. Our catered menu usually consists of chicken, pasta, salad, lasagna, desserts, etc. Tickets for the party must be picked up/purchased by the end of rehearsal on Monday, March 19th. To ensure that we have the appropriate amenities for all guests, tickets will NOT be sold at the door.
Most children bring fabric markers so they can sign each others t-shirts. The program book’s inside covers work well for those who don’t want their t-shirts signed. Your child shouldn’t wear their t-shirt if they do not want it signed. Cast members generally wear their t-shirts to school the next day. Don’t have your child wear a favorite (or expensive) shirt to the party. Markers can bleed through the t-shirts.
Ice Show DVDs: Order forms will be available at all ice show practices and during both shows.
FLOWERS: Flowers will be on sale in the lobby of the rink. Flowers are not mandatory; however you won’t want your child to be the only one skating out during the finale without some. All flowers need to be labeled (name, group number and badge level) and given to the flower volunteers. They will place them in the appropriate boxes to be delivered to the skaters in time for their finale. You may bring in your own flowers. Pre-printed labels for every cast member will be available at the flower table. NO BALLOONS, STUFFED ANIMALS OR GIFT BAGS WILL BE DELIVERED. FLOWERS ONLY
IMPORTANT ICE SHOW RULES:
1. Skaters must participate in both performances.
2. Show Supervisors must be at the ice rink before their skaters scheduled arrival time.
3. Skaters must be at the ice rink one hour before show time (6pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday), in full costume, and should go directly to their assigned dressing room and check-in with their Show Supervisors.
4. Absolutely, no men in the dressing room areas. During performances, no parents, family members or friends are allowed backstage or in the dressing room areas. This rule is strictly enforced to ensure the safety of ALL of our children.
5. Skaters will remain with their Show Supervisors and Skating Group. They will not be allowed to go to the snack area, or bleachers during the show.
6. Skaters should bring a coat to stay warm, a drink and snack (something that will not stain costumes if spilled). Water and popcorn are good examples. Please label all belongings (i.e. costume accessories, skate guards) with name. Skaters only, may bring a blanket to sit on or wrap around them.
7. After the finale, please wait for the entire cast to return to their dressing rooms before picking up your skater.
8. Due to seating issues in the rink during previous years, BLANKETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE RINK, except for cast members. Doors will open one hour prior to show time, and all seats are first come, first served. If you or any family member brings a blanket to the rink, they will be asked to put it back in their vehicles. NO EXCEPTIONS, so tell you family and friends to dress warm!
Please!! DO NOT GET UP DURING A PERFORMANCE
Each performance is only 1.5 to 3.5 minutes long and if you are moving to your seat during a group or solo number, someone’s Grandmother, Aunt, or Parent could miss their entire performance. Lobby doors will be closed when music is being played. People may only enter and exit when the music has stopped and our MC is announcing the next performance.
